A little about me.

 

HI, I'm Julie and thanks for viewing my website!

 

I live and work in Wharfedale, a most beautiful and inspiring part of the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. I studied art and art history way back in time, but was painting, drawing and photographing long before that! After gaining my degree I taught in South and West Yorkshire, but always gave time to painting and have exhibited and sold along the way.

 

I like landscapes, working spontaneously from collected images and memories, portraying their constantly changing natures which I paint with an ambiguity suggesting both representation and abstraction, but always the relationship between colour and form is paramount.
